KNOW YOUR ORGANICS

                        KNOW YOUR ORGANICS

Most of us get surprised by reading the price tag of food products in Superstores and malls especially, in the Organic section. Whether it be a packet of rice, oats or, pulses, we wander the same white oats in the organic section costing 3-4 times and some times more than that of the inorganic one.

Is worth it! Yes, it is what makes it to have this much cost. the major differences between organic and inorganic food.

Organic foods do not include harmful chemicals for their growth. Farmers use natural manures and techniques.

Crop rotation techniques and natural measures for enhancing the quality of soil as well as preserve the health of wildlife and ultimately is beneficial for the whole ecosystem. Organic food does not contain harmful preservatives to keep the food fresh for a long time.

For the growth of Non-Organic food, farmers use harmful chemicals, for milk production injections of oxytocin, which are being responsible to decrease the puberty age. Nowadays we see children attaining puberty earlier. This is hazardous for the reproductive health of children.

The deliberate use of chemicals and pesticides has disturbed the whole biological system in-vitro as well as in-vivo. Our whole food chain is getting contaminated as one organism depending on the other for sustaining its life. So organic foods have many advantages other than saving us from harmful chemicals, disease risks it improves the local economy as well. Thus it is wiser to choose expensive organic weighing the cost of our health.

One other better and cheaper idea is to grow veggies, herbs at home in your kitchen garden. Be the producer of your organics. You can explore the balcony garden or terrace garden option also if space is a constraint for you.

Nowadays not only food but clothes stationary and many other daily utilities are coming as organic minimizing chemical use and maximizing health benefits and making our ecosystem safe.

I just hope after reading this you will try to make organics your part of life. Stay healthy and happy as truly said "Health is the biggest wealth".
