Hello everyone hope all are hale and hearty. Today in this journey of health and wellness would like to add benefits of Beet root.

As most of the dieticians recommend more the colourful our plate more healthy it is. So just add one more colour to  your plate and that is of beetroot.

Beet root, as the name suggest its indeed a root that beats all other vegetables and fruits in its content of nutrients and health benefits. It has numerous number of advantages by including in our diet daily either raw, cooked, juice or soup you can take in whatever form you like but for sure you will get the benefits.
It just deserves to be on top of the list of superfoods because of its high content of  fiber, carbohydrates, vitamin C,  Follic acid,  Potassium and  Iron as well.

·        One benefit that most of  us are aware  is its benefit  in Anaemia. Beetroot  intake  enhances  haemoglobin level. 

·        It has shown benefits in control and prevention of many chronic disease like Hypertension: Proven dose dependent effect in lowering blood pressure in high BP patients because of its high nitrates contents.

·        Dementia: is one of the drawback associated with ageing process is loss of memory due to decrease in blood flow to brain in older ages. It was found to improve blood flow to brain thus enhance cognitive ability and memory.

·        Diabetic Mellitus: Due to presence of antioxidant alpha lipoicacid, decrease glucose level, increase insulin sensitivity and prevent oxidative stress associated damage in diabetic patient.

·        Constipation high fibre content of beet root improve digestion and prevent constipation.

·        Useful in prevention of  cancer and  also used in  weight management.

 

Along with these advantages studies has shown that taking beet root in diet improve stamina and athletic performance and also have anti-inflammatory property in chronic inflammation.
